Getting "Error: No test suite found in file ..." using basic test example

I'm not able to run the most simple example possible, even when copying commands from tutorials.

I have seen numerous issues with "Error: No test suite found in file .." error being closed but none of them helped. Some of them mentioned problems with Windows but were "Closed".

Reproduction

1. npm create vite@latest. Create "react" project with "Javascript"
2. npm install --save-dev vitest
3. Add "test": "vitest" script to package.json
4. Add src/App.test.jsx:

import { describe, it, expect } from 'vitest';

describe('something truthy and falsy', () => {
  it('true to be true', () => {
    expect(true).toBe(true);
  });
});

6. Run npm run test

Looks like this is related to casing of D: and d:

It works when navigating to the folder using uppercase as a drive letter. The same as in #5798
