TSX: how can we render a plain text element with tsx inside the setup

Hi all,

I was wandering what is the recommended approach to render a plain text element with tsx or a render function inside a setup.

So far I have used the this._v('something') internal function for this.

Hi sure,

If I want to render a plain text element with render function in Vue 2 I could just use this._v('sometext') as for example it is done in this codesandbox example - https://codesandbox.io/s/vue-render-function-6he7m .
What will be the recommended way to render such only text element with a render function (or a TSX syntax) in a setup function when using the composition-api.

1. Your previous way was using an internal API. Vue components require a root element, usually. You are lucky it worked at all and didn't break so far (I'm honestly a bit confused that this worked for you).
2. Such internals will not be exposed in setupas that's not part of the spec. So this won't work with this plugin and there is no alternative in Vue 2.
3. In Vue 3, we will support Fragments, so you can likely just return a Fragment in TSX. you can ask for more information in the RFC (likely Render function API change rfcs#28 even though I can'T find a reference to fragments in there right now)

We will definitely reconsider the usage of '_v' function in the code.
