In #2247, the initial/final layout requirement for all images other than swapchain images has been hardcoded to
General, as the whole idea of having initial/final layout requirements is still around only temporarily until we finally rewrite synchronization. However @vE5li reported on Discord what looks like a regression, and this is the only thing that I could think of that changed between the numerous old image types and the unified image type.
