This page lists various tools or applications built around EPUBCheck. If you know of more, please do let us know!
EPUBCheck is only published as a command line tool and doesn't have a graphical user interface. However, many users understandably find it challenging or impractical to run command line tools (don’t worry, you’re not alone!). The applications in the list below provide a user-friendly graphical user interface to EPUBCheck:
- pagina EPUB-Checker for Windows / Mac / Linux
- ePub Checker for Mac (Mac App Store only)
- epubcheck GUI for Linux / Windows (video tutorial)
- ECheck for Mac
- EPUB Validator (beta) Web-hosted validation with results displayed in an HTML page. Limited to files 10MB or less in size.
The following editing tools for EPUB publications include support for running EPUBCheck from within the application.
- Oxygen Editor includes integrated support for running EPUBCheck on publications
- Sigil supports a plugin for checking the currently loaded publication
- epubchecker, a command-line interface and Node.js library for running EPUBCheck, by @chialab.
- EPUB3-tests, a convenient script for running a folder of files through EPUBCheck and outputting results in a single text file, by @wareid.
