Simple Rating / Scoring system added for evaluation of Maturity #135
Comments
Ps. the "Flow" tabs are simulated examples, the others are just the static / start stages... |
I think this scheme is useful. If feels as if this could be a one-tab document, integrating the three flows? I also don't quite undrstand why some point values are divided by 4.5 and others by 6. Is there some weighting implied? My hunch would have been that in a rating system from 0 to 3 (i.e four different points), 0 would translate into 0% and 3 into 100%. I am sure I am missing something - I just think it would be good to have some annotation explaining the scoring approach in one of the document tabs. |
Hey Detlev,
Thank you for your comments, hereby some thoughts...
I think this scheme useful. If feels as if this could be a one-tab
document, integrating the three flows?
Reaction: This is a example / POC for now, indeed this might be combined in
the future but we have 7 Dimensions, not three, so it can become a 'long'
tab. Ultimately we end up with a 'online generator' where you just fill in
the questions and 'plop' the result will be presented.
It is not quite clear to me why there need to be eight different tabs.
Reaction: Also here, I have 'static' and 'Flow / dynamic' tabs to show the
example / how it works... some small explanation is here:

Reaction: Based on simulations it just seemed not 'fair' to have gained
33.3% just by launching something (based on the Outcomes and Proof Points).
Also the Integrate part didn't seem to be 66.6% of the work to be done. So
I've 'normalized the score' where Level 3 is 100% (3 divided by 3), Level 0
is 0%, Level 1 only half the score (1 divided by 6 instead of 3), and Level
2 in the middle, so 4.5 (2 divided by 4.5). This 'normalization' gives
pretty much a good result in a large simulation. I can show / explain the
results in detail, but also here a small intro can be found at:

Worked out a Simple Rating / Scoring system for evaluation of the
Maturity.
It is based on a simple scoring of 0, 1, 2, or 3 points depending on
where the proof point is in its maturity.
Also added a column for percentages and 'normalized' a 1, 2, or 3
score so a Level 1 has less impact than a Level 3.
Tested in practice and works pretty nice on a simulated 'real' case.
Result only applied for now for only 3 dimension: Knowledge and
Skills, Development Life Cycle, and Culture.
Also an Overview page is added.
