The Turtle files currently found at https://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns and https://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema contain a few terms that are not currently mentioned in rdf-schema.

It is understood that not all terms with the same namespace IRI necessarily need to be defined in the same document. However, from a "specification usability" point of view, it would be immensely helpful if all terms of the rdf: and rdfs: vocabularies could be found in one place - even if that then just points to another document.

The terms currently in the Turtle files but not mentioned in the spec are:

  • rdf:PlainLiteral
  • rdf:CompoundLiteral
  • rdf:language
  • rdf:direction

Specifically for rdf:CompoundLiteral, rdf:language, and rdf:direction, it would also be very helpful to point out how they relate to the directional language-tagged strings of RDF 1.2. (E.g., should [ ex:title [ rdf:value "HTML و CSS: تصميم و إنشاء مواقع الويب", rdf:language "ar-eg", rdf:direction "rtl" ] ] and [ ex:title "HTML و CSS: تصميم و إنشاء مواقع الويب"@ar-eg--rtl ] be treated as equivalent?)
