URL: https://web.whatsapp.com

Browser / Version: Firefox 102.0
Operating System: Linux
Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else
Description: Scrollbar shows content from other tab
Steps to Reproduce:
On the scrollbar of whatsapp web, I can see content from the other tab that is open right next to it. This shouldn't be possible, as no tab should be able to access data from another tab. I don't know if this is just a visual glitch or an actual sandboxing problem and I haven't tested it. (The colors on the scrollbar is a slice of the tab open right next to this page, and they change when I scroll on the other page)

Thanks for the report, but that is the scroll bar from the current message chat, which is available both in Firefox and Chrome, I don't see any other tab.

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 104.0a1 (2022-07-07), Chrome 103.0.5060.114
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.2

For this project, we try to focus our effort on layouts, features, or content that works as expected in one browser but not in another. Closing the issue as Non-compat.

@softvision-oana-arbuzov look at my screenshot where the scrollbar clearly has some pink pixels. this doesn't happen with chrome, only with firefox.

@kahveciderin unfortunately, I don't get those pink pixels on the scrollbar as you can see from my screenshot.

@softvision-raul-bucata can you reproduce it on your side?

@softvision-oana-arbuzov I was also not able to reproduce the issue:

test1

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 102.0.1 (64-bit)/
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.4 LTS x64

@kahveciderin Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disabling add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?If the issue is still reproducible after these suggestions, what I would do usually to test this kind of issue, is:

  1. Type about:profiles in the url bar.
  2. Choose Create a new profile.
  3. Call it deleteme or anything you please.
  4. Then start it. (this way you will be sure that nothing is interfering, no ghost caching etc.)
  5. Test.

@softvision-raul-bucata do you have a 1440p screen? try with that. I already did the steps you mentioned.
