Select the PDF preview and the text is garbled as if there is a decoding issue.

Thanks for the report, I was able to reproduce the issue.

Note: The issue is not reproducible on Chrome.

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 107.0a1 (2022-09-26), Firefox Release 105.0.1
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

This looks like a dupe of mozilla/pdf.js#15289

Can someone attach the pdf file to this issue ?
Different issues can have similar wrong rendering (especially with font issues), so it'd be better to check that the issue here is really the same as the one mentioned by @denschub.

No, that would be illegal.

Unfortunately, since the previews are gone now anyway as the bundle expired in August, and the preview URLs are now also expired, this bug is either "a duplicate of the other issue", or "incomplete because we no longer have access to the preview PDFs since they're done". From Oana's screenshot, I assume that the book in question was https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/learning-helm/9781492083641/, which was in the same Bundle as the linked pdf.js report. Given that report says it affects "Any O'Reilly book preview PDF" from that Bundle, I'd guess that ti's the same issue.

But there's no way to tell that for sure at this point, unfortunately.
