Browser / Version: Firefox 105.0
Operating System: Windows 10
Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else
Description: Can not check emails to delete - instead it opens the email and no way to delete.
Steps to Reproduce:
The check boxes to delete or move an email doesn't work anymore. If you try to put a check mark there the email opens. On an open email, none of the links across the top work. You can't reply, forward, move, delete, or do anything. I tested my Yahoo email in Chrome and it works as usual. This is brand new problem since the latest FF update.

We appreciate your report. I was not able to reproduce the issue:
mail

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 105.0.3 (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

@Zephmarie Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disabling add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?

Okay, thanks. I clear my cookies all the time. If I open a "private window" and then go to my email it works properly. I guess I'll just have to do it that way, or use Chrome until the issue is resolved. As I said, it all started with the latest FF update. FF seems to do updates all the time, so maybe the next one will fix it.

@Zephmarie What I would do usually to test this kind of issue, is:

  1. Type about:profiles in the url bar.
  2. Choose Create a new profile.
  3. Call it deleteme or anything you please.
  4. Then start it. (this way you will be sure that nothing is interfering, no ghost caching etc.)
  5. Test.

If the issue does not reproduce in a new profile, but reproduces again after some browsing is done in the same new profile, it might be a cache issue. Can you confirm or deny this outcome, if possible?

I will keep these instructions for in case it happens again. Last night, I checked my email in Firefox, just a regular window (not private window) and it's working correctly again. Thank you for being available for troubleshooting.

@Zephmarie Glad we could help. Since the issue is not reproducible on your side now, I will close the issue accordingly.
