Browser / Version: Firefox 108.0.1
Operating System: Linux
Tested Another Browser: Yes Firefox

Problem type: Site is not usable
Description: Missing items
Steps to Reproduce:
Google Music is missing the controls that appear at the bottom of the screen when playing music. This makes it impossible to play/pause, skip, etc. Sometimes fails with Firefox 102.5.0 ESR (Debian Bookworm). I rolled the Flatpak back to 107.0.1 (Flatpak; Debian Bookworm) and the site works. Also, works with the latest Google Chrome. The problem seems to have been introduced with the 12/13 Flatpak update.

I replicated the problem with Firefox 108.0.1 (snap) on Ubuntu 22.04. That is, the problem doesn't seem to be related to a specific Linux distribution (I have tried Debian Bookworm which is currently testing and Ubuntu 22.04) or packaging mechanism. While Ubuntu is derived from Debian, the versions of the kernel, mesa, etc. are mostly (if not completely) different. I downloaded and ran the 102.6.0 (ESR) tarball from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr and could not reproduce the problem. I hopes that helps narrow down the potential patch list.

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 108.0.1 (64-bit)
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.4 LTS x64

@tonywalker1 Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disabling add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?

Interesting. On a hunch, I just hit the refresh/reload button and the control bar reappeared, but to your questions..

When I tested the snap package, that was a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04 and a fresh profile. When I rolled-back the Flatpak version, that was the existing profile. When I tested the latest ESR version from the Mozilla website, I used the existing profile. While I didn't report it, I had also created a clean profile for the Flatpak. More specifically, I renamed .mozilla and let Firefox create an entirely new directory. I also logged into Youtube Music without enabling Firefox sync to avoid any issues with settings, sync, extensions, etc.

...Back to hitting refresh/reload and having things work. This might have been a Youtube (Google) problem. I have no idea how they rollout updates (a few servers at a time, a subset of users, etc.). It could be that they introduced a problem for Firefox, caught it, and fixed it. Of course, if that is the case, that would mean that there is some issue that you people should know about.

Anyway, I am a little perplexed and curious, but it works right now. I am sorry to bother you. If it happens again, I will dig deeper before bothering you.

I love Firefox and appreciate all of your hard work!

@tonywalker1 Thanks for the update. No bother whatsoever. We try to make the Internet a better place, so any report it taken into consideration. Like you said, must have been a temporary issue.
Please feel free to submit other encountered issues, as your input is highly appreciated.
