Thanks for the report, I was able to reproduce the issue. The audio no longer plays while Firefox Preview is in background and there is no media notification not available on the tab Tray (mozilla-mobile/fenix#10740)

Note: The issue is not reproducible on Firefox Release and Chrome, the audio keeps playing while the browser is in background.

Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Preview Nightly 200706 (🦎 80.0a1-20200702094606)
Operating System: Huawei P20 Lite (Android 8.0.0) - 1080 x 2280 pixels, 19:9 ratio (~432 ppi density), Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (Android 7.0) - 1440 x 2560 pixels (~577 ppi pixel density)

Moving to Needsdiagnosis for further investigation.

This is technically a duplicate of mozilla-mobile/fenix#7369, and from reading the discussion on Bugzilla, I am confident that the generic solution will also address this site.
