Table 3-02 - Additional Territories Required

Initial request

We need some additional territories added to OSCAR so we can assign WSIs to observation locations. The codes being requested are all for Crown Dependencies of the United Kingdom where the UKMO will be the administrator for the codes in OSCAR.

The following ISO codes need to be added with the United Kingdom being the administrator for them in OSCAR.

• Guernsey (ISO code 831)
• Jersey (ISO code 832)
• Isle of Man (ISO code 833)

An email was sent to a WMO colleague and the external relations department will be consulted.

The preliminary response is that it's ok to add these territories. Waiting for confirmation.

"Consulted with External Relations and WIGOS: OK to add as a territories, aligned with established ISO3 coding. These territories are part of the WMO Member United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.”
