I am not sure if I'm reading things wrongly but I can't figure out how to specify a single subreddit to remove all the old comments there. I use 'removal reasons' in the mod toolbox and have tens of thousands of old useless comments in the subreddits I moderate that I want to remove now.

I am wanting to delete comments that I made and are currently in my user history. They are all distinguished and they are all in a single subreddit.

I don't want to delete every comment I've ever made for the past 15 years. I just want to remove comments that I made in a specific subreddit... preferably just the distinguished ones.

Not the cleanest solution, but you could create a multi-reddit with all of your subs (minus the one you want to nuke), and then create another multi-reddit with just the sub you want to nuke. Then add the first multi-reddit into multi_whitelist, and the second one into multi_blacklist.

You'd probably want to make sure that nuke_hours is also set to a large enough value that it doesn't delete your older comments. I thought there was a way to disable that in the past but could be mistaken.
