Thanks @rafa-guedes, and sorry for the slow reply. I'm going to merge this now. I'll get back to this repository to finish #44 and also migrate to more modern Python packaging. |

I just released v0.1.2 on PyPI. I first wanted to make a quick release but the release gha workflow was out of date so I ended up making a complete revamp in #47. |

pkg_resources is deprecated in python 3.12. This pull request replaces it by importlib so it works in python3.12.
