Beeftext runs natively in English, and an official French translation is provided, as the developer is French. But users in the community are kind enough to provide translations for their languages.
Language | Author | Version | Download Link |
---|---|---|---|
🇳🇱 Dutch | Ron van de Crommert, Sander Goudswaard | 3 | Beeftext_nl_NL.zip |
🇩🇪 German | Mario Behnke | 3 | Beeftext_de_DE.zip |
🇮🇹 Italian | Iselio De Lisi | 2 | Beeftext_it_IT.zip |
🇵🇱 Polish | Patryk Tarnowski | 3 | Beeftext_pl_PL.zip |
🇵🇹 Portuguese | Henrique Augusto Lino | 3 | Beeftext_pt_PT.zip |
🇷🇺 Russian | Valerij Romanovskij | 7 | Beeftext_ru_RU.zip |
🇨🇳 Simplified Chinese | Evan | 1 | Beeftext_zh_CN.zip |

- Download the zip file for your language
- Unzip the archived folder and copy it to the 'translations' subfolder of Beeftext. If you use the installer, this folder is typically located at
%LOCALAPPDATA%\beeftext.org\Beeftext\Translations
. You can also easily access this folder by opening thePreferences
dialog in Beeftext and click on theOpen Folder
button in theAppearance
tab. - Click on the
Refresh
button in theAppearance
tab of thePreferences
dialog. - The translation should now be available.
Two reasons for that:
- The developer cannot evaluate the quality of the translation.
- The translations need to be updated every time a new version of Beeftext is released. Having to wait for all translations to be completed would delay the release of the software.
The procedure for translating Beeftext is detailed in this wiki page.
