Describe the feature

There are a lot of subchannels in the public zed channel, many of which I don't read often. As a result, getting to the latest messages in those subchannels takes several minutes of scrolling. The occasional wall of spam makes this worse as well. A scroll bar would help with that, but a lot of the time a simple button for jumping to the most recent message would be even more convenient.

Scrolling chat also doesn't support keyboard shortcuts (up, down, pgup, pgdown) scroll to beginning/end could also be mapped to home/end.

We've recently removed chat from Zed. The feature wasn't meeting our quality standards and saw minimal usage. We might build a new, more refined version in the future, but we have no plans to do so right now.
