Key Audiences, Key Problems
Tracing exposure (where a person went, who they came in contact with, who those people came in contact with) requires hundreds of man hours and resources. Testing + Tracing are two fundamental components of containment. If Testing is not prevalent, the burden on tracing grows exponentially.
No way to individualize public health recommendations at scale. Current recommendations are very broad. No ability to individually triage.
- Small or Underserved Communities
Not enough physical resources, no expertise, second hand recommendations. Also do not have Work From Home options. Since they are removed from higher density areas they have time to establish preemptive lines of defense if they had the resources.
- Public Health Agencies
Too much workload. Lack of testing resources will increase burden on tracing until it is completely abandoned. No easy way to derive real time summary statistics to inform regional policies
- Countries in the Southern Hemisphere
Cannot ramp up capacity to develop and stockpile physical resources in time for a potential seasonal shift. Well suited to develop preemptive tracing protocols so when the virus does hit, they can quickly test trace and contain.
Sample Scenarios on How Zerobase Solves Their Problems:
Small communities have no defense and low confidence they can go about their daily lives. Since large amounts of the community do not have a work from home option, the unknowns create a lot of stress for their communities. Zerobase can provide them a modicum of confidence to build from and regain normalcy. Fast notifications can keep people alert, but not alarmed.
Public health agencies are stretched thin. Ideally they would work with communities, hold information sessions, etc - but do not have the manpower. They need a solution that requires low amounts of training, universal equipment and easy setup.Smartphones provide the highest level of stratification to gain large coverage for public health outreach.
If you’re a government in the Southern Hemisphere unsure if there will be a seasonal shift what can you currently do? Not much since you cannot import more medical materials from other countries. You would place monitoring at the highest levels of preparedness in order to quickly identify any instances and corner them before a wider spread. Zerobase is a free ready to deploy monitoring system.
