Civitai API Key

WARNING: Do not share your API Key with anyone. Your API Key allows unrestricted access to use and edit your Civitai account.

Some models on Civitai require authentication to download. To download these models you will need to create an API key on Civitai and copy it into Civitai Helper's settings. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Login to Civitai and click your account icon in the upper right
  2. Open your Account settings

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the list to your API keys and click + Add API Key

  1. A dialog will pop up to let you name your API Key. Name it anything you want
  2. Click Save

  1. Another Dialog will pop up with your new API Key. Click the clipboard icon 📋 to copy it. Keep it somewhere safe. You will not be able to see this API key again from Civitai once you close the dialog

  2. Paste the API key into Civitai Helper's settings and click Apply Settings

  • Warning: If you are using a shared instance of SD WebUI, other users on your instance will be able to see your API key in the WebUI settings.

You should now be able to download models that require authentication.
