  • The work has been in progress since 23Q1

Add more functionality to the Jobs tree view

  • Users would like a comparable experience working with JES files, Zowe Explorer doesn't have a lot of functionality in that tree compared to others.
• What are you doing to solve it?
  • Add more functionality to jobs in the tree, ie. local sorting, filtering, and more.

Improve experience for using API ML sessions in Zowe Explorer

• What problem are you solving?
  • Many users of Zowe Explorer aren't familiar with or are unaware of authentication methods supported by Zowe Explorer, like token authentication, SSO, & MFA.
• *What are you doing to solve it?
  • For users of the API ML with SSO and MFA, there are enhancements we could make to provide a more first-class experience.

Thanks @adam-wolfe these are great items. I would reconsider adding any more major enhancements toward v2. I think hitting med/high priority issues for v2 getting it ready to go into maintenance, especially Theia issues and decide on a final version of Theia we will claim support for with announcement would be good. This way we focus all new enhancements going in v3 and start drawing users and extenders in for the upgrade.
We also should discuss in an upcoming scrum the promised by EOY roadmap items in the last plan, Add more functionality to Jobs tree view & Improve error handling, looking at what was accomplished and what is left.

We will also need to consider high-severity bugs, we have 6. Some already in proposed list.

One additional thing I think we will want to include is: #2264.

It's marked as low priority, but we have customers asking for the ability to access LPARs behind separate APIML gateways within a single VS Code window. We are still looking into how this could be implemented without breaking changes to team config.

Cool @adam-wolfe , with this as low priority and an enhancement could it be a v3 Stretch? This could also help if breaking changes were needed to achieve.
