the CI for PR #208 seemed to fail due to a timeout waiting for auth info for pub.dev.

This really should only happen for CI jobs triggered new tag pushes, or MAYBE pushes to main

#203 and #207 are also affected by this - i canceled the CI jobs I started when i realized they would just be wasting GitHub's resources
