What does the pull request do?

It should be more semantically correct. cc @grokys
Should have been done right before we switched to 11.2 versioning, but better now than never.

What do you think about using instead of the hard coding version, a system similar to this.

@workgroupengineering we don't really hardcode it? Either way, after recent changes, version management should be much easier
