As a user who places orders,
I want the option to specify a DNA sample to upload the RNA data of my Tomte or MIP-RNA analysis to if there is no matching DNA sample for my supplied subject ID,
So that I do not have to rely on missing subject IDs and streamline the ordering process further.
Work impact
Answer the following questions:
Is there currently a workaround for this issue? If so, what is it?
By having production bioinformatics reach out and ask what DNA sample the RNA sample is connected to, after which I provide the list of DNA to RNA connections
How much time would be saved by implementing this feature on a weekly basis?
Hours or days, depending on the communication delay through support.
How many users are affected by this issue?
Everyone placing RNA order through Tomte or mip-rna
Are customers affected by this issue?
Yes
Acceptance Criteria
Have an option to specify, on a sample level, which DNA sample to upload the RNA data to
We have now added some acceptance criteria and some extra information in the Notes section
What if they provide a wrong sample id?
Are you giving the example that a customer would specify the wrong sample? Yes, that is a risk, but a risk that already exists with the subject ID. If you mean that if they supply one that does not exist I think that would be part of the technical refinement, but of course we would have to check if the sample they are trying to upload also exists and is within the collaboration of customers.
