This is my contribution for #292

As I've already seen that 3.6 jobs are failing for #316, I thought maybe that should be done first.

Thank you for the PR, @hakandilek.

The process of removing py36 support should be implemented in the TARGET BRANCH: dev/3.0.0

Therefore, i will close this PR, as it has the wrong target branch.
Feel free to open a new one for TARGET BRANCH: dev/3.0.0
