Installation
There are no steps unique to this module to install it. You're able to install this module the same way you'd install any other module in DNN. Once installed, you will see three extensions:
The primary one that you will be using is simply named DNN Community Forums.
The other two modules are companion modules that serve other complementary purposes:
- DNN Community Forums Forums Viewer - lets you place a (shadow) forums instance on one or more different DNN pages, with just the desired forums
- DNN Community Forums What's New - lets you place a news feed (with RSS) of forums information on one or more different DNN pages
When using this module, it's important to know that it can be set-up in numerous ways. To make your initial experience easier, there is a wizard that will pre-configure the module for you with the most common settings, as well as adding some starter modules for you to use (or not).

When you add the
Community Forumsmodule to the page, it will show you a welcome message.
Click the Continue button to proceed.
- After just a moment, the page will reload and you'll be looking at the Control Panel for the module. You can either begin configuring things now, or choose
Exitto go back to the main view.
You're technically already ready to use the module... Have fun!
