The root dir does not need to be specified here. Build-namelist will fill it in.

@gold2718 - Perhaps @fvitt can answer this, but I can say from experience, that there are some specifiers which require $INPUTDATA_ROOT and some that do not want it. I confirmed that this is one of the latter.

List all existing files that have been modified, and describe the changes:
M cime_config/config_component.xml
- Modifications for using SMYLE 83 levels and extended SSP use cases

If there were any failures reported from running test_driver.sh on any test
platform, and checkin with these failures has been OK'd by the gatekeeper,
then copy the lines from the td.*.status files for the failed tests to the
appropriate machine below. All failed tests must be justified.
