First of all, thank you so much for creating this package!
My team have used and found that there exists the bottle neck of reading PLY file by cloning the key. Therefore, I have made several changes and the running time of reading 80000 points in my project has reduced from 450ms to 90ms. Please fix me if I made errors and looking forward hearing from you.
