As of c43b7e9 I tried this on a Mac running macOS 10.14.6 and got the following error:

PLAY RECAP *********************************************************************
localhost : ok=134 changed=93 unreachable=0 failed=0

copying logs to /tmp/123.

@pdurbin hmmph. it's in the rsync 3.1.3 man page on my mac (also running 10.14.6) but I tested on Ubuntu 18.04 / rsync 3.1.2. i'm not even certain we need that option.
