Upgrading from previous versions

Version 0.10

No special instructions.

Version 0.9.1 or before

Warning: I recommend a full delete and reinstall when upgrading from v0.9.1 and before.

I changed the resource consumption rates, the amount of each resource in containers, and the cost and weight of the containers themselves. Any ships made with previous versions may have more or less resources than you expect, and their deltaV may have changed substantially.

You will need to switch to each vessel to update the times in the monitoring window.

I recommend updating any old ship designs. You will also need to send resupply missions to existing vessels. Temporarily disable the mod if the changes made it so that you cannot get more supplies to vessels in time.

Version 0.8 or before

  1. Any existing ships will not have enough Food, Water, and especially Oxygen because version 0.9 changed the definition of a "unit" to mean "1 liter" instead of "1 day".

Possible work-arounds:
a. Disable the mod for that save and send some supplies to your vessel(s), making sure that they have enough to last before re-enabling.
b. Edit your save file to change the amount of resources on the vessel(s).

  1. Make sure that you delete the {KSP}/GameData/ThunderAerospace/TacLifeSupport/StockPartChanges.cfg and {KSP}/GameData/ThunderAerospace/TacLifeSupport/PluginData/TacLifeSupport/LifeSupport.cfg file. Those files have the potential to cause a lot of problems and weirdness.

  2. Delete all texture files that end with .tga. Those were the old textures, and you will save some memory if you get rid of them.

Version 0.2 or before

Start a new save? It has been a really long time since this version was released.
