The player mines on a planet (later multiple) in order to get various resources used in crafting and trade. As the game continues, players will be able to set up a single automated resource gatherer on each planet, to continue obtaining resources there. Each further unlocked planet will contain new minerals and compounds used in more effective and powerful weapons, equipment, and ships.
In order to mine, you can either press the "Dig" button in the planet view, or press your d key in the Keyboard.
