This submenu contains a list of available resource types. Select one of them to create a new resource of that type from scratch.
Note: The saved resource is not automatically detected by the internal resource cache or the resource tree. You may have to refresh the resource tree, either via menu Game > Refresh Tree
or the shortcut F5
. Alternatively restart Near Infinity.
This option opens a duplicate view of the selected resource in a child window. Alternatively you can right-click on the selected resource in the resource tree and select Open in new window
from the context menu.
This option attempts to open the biffed version of the selected resource in a child window. That allows you to inspect resources in their original state. Alternatively you can right-click on the selected resource in the resource tree and select Open biffed resource in new window
from the context menu.
This option enables you to check whether the selected resource is referenced by any other resources of the game. A selection dialog allows you to restrict the search to specific resource types. By default the most relevant types are already preselected. However, you can freely enable or disable resource types on the list, either manually or by using the buttons at the bottom of the dialog.
By selecting this option you can create a copy of the selected resource under a different name in a folder of your choice.
Note: Modifications made to the currently selected resource are not exported unless saved.
Note 2: The exported resource is not automatically registered as an internal resource if it's located in any of the override folders. You have to refresh the resource tree either via menu Game > Refresh Tree
or its shortcut F5
.
This option works similarly to Export...
. However, you can only choose the file name without extension and the resource is automatically saved into the game's override folder. You don't have to refresh the resource tree either.
This option enables you to rename the selected resource. It is only supported for resources present as actual file in any of the override folders.
With this option you can delete the selected resource from the file system. Only resources present as actual file in any of the override folder will be removed.
This option allows you to undo the latest changes made to the currently selected resource. It is only available if you saved the resource previously with Options > Backup on save
enabled.
