Autofresh causes clicking on flow diagram items to not work correctly due to the refresh resulting in losing the selected message

When auto-refresh is on, if you then go to Flow Diagram, you click on a message, it shows details, then as auto-fresh occurs, the details of message modal closes.

This is related to #341 When the autorefresh kicks in it replaces the message list, which resets the selected message, which refreshes the flow diagram, which causes the popup details to close.

Instead, the refresh mechanism should query only for changes, and if there are changes then refresh everything.

This issue still exists. The mentioned fix only is when there is no new data. But if the list is repopulated the view the current selection shouldn't update the view either.

This shows that I selected a message, the flow gets visualized but at the next refresh the selected view is gone.

We have removed the Bug label and added the Improvement label, as the system is behaving as intended, but it is an improvement that we need to make.
