Received an email yesterday from our collaborators in Mexico who were excited about our new mission screens but couldn't figure out how to actually start a mission. I'm not sure if the "Start mission" button was below the fold for them (e.g., required scrolling) or they simply didn't see it.

So, two action items:

  1. We should evaluate this screen on various laptops and see if "Start mission" button is visible without scrolling
  2. We should consider adding a big "Start mission" button to the last screen. Perhaps this last screen can be similar across all label types and provide some basic stats and then have large "Let's go" or "Start" button.

Katrina and I talked about this in a meeting this morning. Some of my thoughts on how we can easily fix this:

After
Saves about ~10% of vertical space.

Here's the design file.

In addition, as we discussed yesterday and again today, I think the last "slide" in the banner (for each label type) can be a summary of DOs and DO NOTs along with a much bigger "Let's get started" or very clear "Start mission" button.

Also noting how this is important for us as we work on a template for all the mission screens :)

We need to be conscientious about vertical space usage.

Looks great @hoominchu. Thanks for the fast action!

(Note that the banner indicators at bottom feel a bit out-of-place to me but I imagine are just centered on the full width of that div, which I suppose is fine but my eyeballs align it with the image above, which makes it seem strangely placed).

Yes, they are placed in the center of the full width. We can adjust it as needed.
