Updates from last week ✔️

• Blurry icon issue
  • The PR in jupyterlab core was merged 🎉 - Fix blurry icons in Launcher at 400% Zoom jupyterlab/jupyterlab#13057
  • An additional PR in xeus python kernel was created and merged - Add python logo in svg format jupyter-xeus/xeus-python#553
  • The other PRs in each kernel were merged
• Created first good issue for Kulsoom - Fix cell toolbar layout jupyterlab-accessible-themes#35
• My meeting with Mike was productive 👏🏻
• Helped Gabriel with the architecture of the API for the testing suite

• We need to start taking decisions for the tabs issue and concreting tasks for both Kulsoom and I to continue making progress

• I worked towards my first PR addressing the issue - Fix cell toolbar layout jupyterlab-accessible-themes#35
• Gabriel and I spent time discussing code with Jason Weill (the author of the commit I changed) trying to understand why things are the way they are.
• Explored some solutions to improve the issue further taking reference from Google Colab

Updates from last week ✔️

• Rendered notebook user testing - Round 1 #146. Reviewed all six tests, solidified takeaways and bugs, and split issue writing between myself and the other designer. I'm working on writing out all my section now, so this is very work in progress. Here are our early findings as issues are tagged by test 1.
• Curate JupyterLab themes #133. Per request, I followed up with a more in-depth issue on the open tab navigation in high zoom in JupyterLab. Let me know if that is still missing anything.
• Got answers about what needs to be done for Jupyter accessibility governance. I'll be posting more info on the jupyter/accessibility's relevant issue.
• Update (but not by my own merit): alt text SPEC restructuring was merged! Many thanks are due! There's still more to be done in terms of documenting alt text findings, but I thought the update might be nice since I haven't mentioned it in a while.

• MAINT - Simplify repo and workflow jupyter-a11y-testing#15. I pushed some fixes to the GitHub workflow.
• Allow matcher to accept Axe results object Widen/expect-axe-playwright#23. I pushed review-requested changes.
• Rename toBeAccessible to toPassAxe Widen/expect-axe-playwright#24. I made a case for changing the API.
• Collaborated with Stephannie on testing API
