Things to do before releasing

PLEASE COPY THIS TEMPLATE INTO THE ISSUE TRACKER FOR EACH RELEASE

• Create release branch on the day of feature freeze
• Update RIOT Platforms
• Verify tutorials section in Wiki
• Build and test every application in application repository
• Go through open issues and PRs and check milestone
• Check "known issues" from last release notes
• Create RC branch
• Write release notes
• Update release statistics

Finally:

• Create milestone for next release
• Drink beer
