…lations.

At dot clocks > approx. 250 Mhz, some of these calcs will overflow and
cause miscalculation of latency watermarks, and for some overflows also
divide-by-zero driver crash ("divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP" in
"dce_v10_0_latency_watermark+0x12d/0x190").

This zero-divide happened, e.g., on AMD Tonga Pro under DCE-10,
on a Displayport panel when trying to set a video mode of 2560x1440
at 165 Hz vrefresh with a dot clock of 635.540 Mhz.

Refine calculations to avoid the overflows.

Tested for DCE-10 with R9 380 Tonga + ASUS ROG PG279 panel.

This patch fixes the case when buffer funcs is empty and bo evict is
executing. It must double check buffer funcs, otherwise, a NULL
pointer dereference kernel panic will be encountered.

It looks that GuC log functionality is not fully functional yet and
causes issues when enabled by auto(-1) modparam on debug builds.

…uct_mutex

This patch fixes lockdep issue due to circular locking dependency of
struct_mutex, i_mutex_key, mmap_sem, relay_channels_mutex.
For GuC log relay channel we create debugfs file that requires i_mutex_key
lock and we are doing that under struct_mutex. So we introduced newer
dependency as:
    &dev->struct_mutex --> &sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#3 --> &mm->mmap_sem
However, there is dependency from mmap_sem to struct_mutex. Hence we
separate the relay create/destroy operation from under struct_mutex.
Also added runtime check of relay buffer status.

v2: Added lock protection to guc->log.runtime.relay_chan (Chris)
    Fixed locking inside guc_flush_logs uncovered by new lockdep.

v3: Locking guc_read_update_log_buffer entirely with relay_lock. (Chris)
    Prepared intel_guc_init_early. Moved relay_lock inside relay_create
    relay_destroy, relay_file_create, guc_read_update_log_buffer. (Michal)
    Removed struct_mutex lock around guc_log_flush and removed usage
    of guc_log_has_relay() from runtime_create path as it needs
    struct_mutex lock.

v4: Handle NULL relay sub buffer pointer earlier in read_update_log_buffer
    (Chris). Fixed comment suffix **/. (Michal)

The ib_write_umad() is protected by taking the umad file mutex.
However, it accesses file->port->ib_dev -- which is protected only by the
port's mutex (field file_mutex).

The ib_umad_remove_one() calls ib_umad_kill_port() which sets
port->ib_dev to NULL under the port mutex (NOT the file mutex).
It then sets the mad agent to "dead" under the umad file mutex.

This is a race condition -- because there is a window where
port->ib_dev is NULL, while the agent is not "dead".

As a result, we saw stack traces like:

In the above trace, ib_umad_write is trying to dereference the NULL
file->port->ib_dev pointer.

Fix this by using the agent's device pointer (the device field

When the frame check sequence (FCS) is split across the last two frames
of a fragmented packet, part of the FCS gets counted twice, once when
subtracting the FCS, and again when subtracting the previously received
data.

For example, if 1602 bytes are received, and the first fragment contains
the first 1600 bytes (including the first two bytes of the FCS), and the
second fragment contains the last two bytes of the FCS:

  'skb->len == 1600' from the first fragment

  size  = lstatus & BD_LENGTH_MASK; # 1602
  size -= ETH_FCS_LEN;              # 1598
  size -= skb->len;                 # -2

Since the size is unsigned, it wraps around and causes a BUG later in
the packet handling, as shown below:

Heiner reported a lockdep splat [1]

This is caused by attempting GFP_KERNEL allocation while RCU lock is
held and BH blocked.

We believe that addrconf_verify_rtnl() could run for a long period,
so instead of using GFP_ATOMIC here as Ido suggested, we should break
the critical section and restart it after the allocation.

The problem, as Florian noted, is that nf_setsockopt() is always
called with the socket held, even if the lock itself is required only
for very tight scopes and only for some operation.

This patch addresses the issues moving the lock_sock() call only
where really needed, namely in ipv*_getorigdst(), so that nf_setsockopt()
does not need anymore to acquire both locks.

If we can't get inode lock immediately in the function
ocfs2_inode_lock_with_page() when reading a page, we should not return
directly here, since this will lead to a softlockup problem when the
kernel is configured with CONFIG_PREEMPT is not set. The method is to
get a blocking lock and immediately unlock before returning, this can
avoid CPU resource waste due to lots of retries, and benefits fairness
in getting lock among multiple nodes, increase efficiency in case
modifying the same file frequently from multiple nodes.

The softlockup crash (when set /proc/sys/kernel/softlockup_panic to 1)
looks like:

In the current design, khugepaged needs to acquire mmap_sem before
scanning an mm. But in some corner cases, khugepaged may scan a process
which is modifying its memory mapping, so khugepaged blocks in
uninterruptible state. But the process might hold the mmap_sem for a
long time when modifying a huge memory space and it may trigger the
below khugepaged hung issue:

  INFO: task khugepaged:270 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
  Tainted: G E 4.9.65-006.ali3000.alios7.x86_64 #1
  "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.

So it sounds pointless to just block khugepaged waiting for the
semaphore so replace down_read() with down_read_trylock() to move to
scan the next mm quickly instead of just blocking on the semaphore so
that other processes can get more chances to install THP. Then
khugepaged can come back to scan the skipped mm when it has finished the
current round full_scan.

And it appears that the change can improve khugepaged efficiency a
little bit.

Below is the test result when running LTP on a 24 cores 4GB memory 2

[why]
During dsc enable, a divide by zero condition triggered the
kernel crash.

[how]
An IGT test, which enable the DSC, was crashing at the time of
restore the default dsc status, becaue of h_totals value
becoming 0. So add a check before divide condition. If h_total
is zero, gracefully ignore and set the default value.

Commit 4192f7b ("drm/amdgpu: unmap register bar on device init
failure") makes amdgpu_driver_unload_kms() skips amdgpu_device_fini(),
so the VGA clients remain registered. So when
vga_arbiter_notify_clients() iterates over registered clients, it causes
NULL pointer dereference.

Since there's no reason to register VGA clients that early, so solve
the issue by putting them after all the goto cleanups.

v2:
 - Remove redundant vga_switcheroo cleanup in failed: label.

Code in the amdgpu driver triggers a bug when using clang to build
an arm64 kernel:

/tmp/sdma_v4_0-f95fd3.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/sdma_v4_0-f95fd3.s:44: Error: selected processor does not support `bfc w0,#1,#5'

I expect this to be fixed in llvm soon, but we can also work around
it by inserting a barrier() that prevents the optimization.

In mmu release, we schedule a work to free amn.
however there is race between exit_mmap and oom_reap_task_mm.
exit_mmap
    -> mmu_notifier_release

oom_reap_task_mm
    -> __oom_reap_task_mm
	-> mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start_nonblock

So the amn might have been freed. sync rcu in destroy to wait for
ongoing range invalidate.

During dsc enable, a divide by zero condition triggered the
kernel crash.

[how]
An IGT test, which enable the DSC, was crashing at the time of
restore the default dsc status, becaue of h_totals value

Commit 4192f7b ("drm/amdgpu: unmap register bar on device init
failure") makes amdgpu_driver_unload_kms() skips amdgpu_device_fini(),
so the VGA clients remain registered. So when
vga_arbiter_notify_clients() iterates over registered clients, it causes

In mmu release, we schedule a work to free amn.
however there is race between exit_mmap and oom_reap_task_mm.
exit_mmap
    -> mmu_notifier_release

oom_reap_task_mm
    -> __oom_reap_task_mm
	-> mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start_nonblock

So the amn might have been freed. sync rcu in destroy to wait for
ongoing range invalidate.

[Why]
IGT bypass test will set crc source as DPRX,and display DM didn`t check
connection type, it run the test on the HDMI connector ,then the kernel
will be crashed because aux->transfer is set null for HDMI connection.
This patch will skip the invalid connection test and fix kernel crash issue.

[How]
Check the connector type while setting the pipe crc source as DPRX or
auto,if the type is not DP or eDP, the crtc crc source will not be set
and report error code to IGT test,IGT will show the this subtest as no
valid crtc/connector combinations found.

…edded fence

The job embedded fence donesn't initialize the flags at
dma_fence_init(). Then we will go a wrong way in
amdgpu_fence_get_timeline_name callback and trigger a null pointer panic
once we enabled the trace event here. So introduce new amdgpu_fence
object to indicate the job embedded fence.

Therefore, remove the mutex_unlock from the amdgpu_cs_vm_handling
function, so that amdgpu_cs_submit and amdgpu_cs_parser_fini can handle
the unlock.

We can easily trigger this issue by using a 4k@120 or a 2k@165 and
running some of the kms_atomic tests. This warning is triggered because
the per-pipe clock update is not happening; this commit fixes this issue
by ensuring that DPPCLK is updated when calculating the watermark and
dlg is invoked.

The idea behind this patch is to delay the freeing of PT entry objects
until the TLB flush is done.

This patch:
- Adds a tlb_flush_waitlist in amdgpu_vm_update_params which will keep the
  objects that need to be freed after tlb_flush.
- Adds PT entries in this list in amdgpu_vm_ptes_update after finding
  the PT entry.
- Changes functionality of amdgpu_vm_pt_free_dfs from (df_search + free)
  to simply freeing of the BOs, also renames it to
  amdgpu_vm_pt_free_list to reflect this same.
- Exports function amdgpu_vm_pt_free_list to be called directly.
- Calls amdgpu_vm_pt_free_list directly from amdgpu_vm_update_range.

V2: rebase
V4: Addressed review comments from Christian
    - add only locked PTEs entries in TLB flush waitlist.
    - do not create a separate function for list flush.
    - do not create a new lock for TLB flush.
    - there is no need to wait on tlb_flush_fence exclusively.

V5: Addressed review comments from Christian
    - change the amdgpu_vm_pt_free_dfs's functionality to simple freeing
      of the objects and rename it.
    - add all the PTE objects in params->tlb_flush_waitlist
    - let amdgpu_vm_pt_free_root handle the freeing of BOs independently
