When playing video from History, Asking user to Start Over / Resume

Describe the feature you want

When playing a video from History, showing Alert Dialog asking user to Start Over or Resume (Similar to that of MX Video Player(fig 1))

Currently a switch is available in Settings>History and Cache> Resume Playback which either Resumes playback or not.

Additional context

Sometime I am watching hour long movie, and (while accessing that video from History) I want to resume from the current playback position.(which works great, if Resume playback is turned ON from the settings)[NO Problem here]

But sometimes I want to play the song (from History) from the beginning, but with the above setting turned ON, it resumes from the middle of the video. Of course, it is not possible to goto the settings everytime to turn ON and OFF resume playback according to what I am going to play. And with that setting turned ON, if I want to play the video from the beginning, I have to drag the progress bar slider [which is a tedious task]

Turning Resume Playback ON/OFF is useful for one case and problematic for other.

How will you/everyone benefit from this feature?

While playing video from History:

1. Gives user the ability to decide whether to resume or play from the beginning, at the time of clicking the video, .
2. Saves several taps and pain of dragging small progress bar
3. May be saves unnecessary data usage (even if Resume Playback was turned OFF, user can still be able to decide to Start Over or Resume playback)

That Resume Playback switch should show dropdown list with
. Always Ask
. Start over
. Resume
as options for user.

I think, no change is required to be brought into settings. This popup for 2 seconds is good enough.

Also, 'Start playback from the beginning (('Resume' button))' popup can be added if 'Positions in lists' is enabled and 'Resume playback' is disabled.

I like skyGtm's suggestion because the "Always Ask" should be an option. Some users don't want to see a message popup all the time, while others do.

Also, make it possible to select a default. For example, comtinur automatically with pop-up to start over or start ovet automatically with popup to continue.

This looks nicer but 2 seconds is very little time. Some users may be handicapped. Also on a smart TV with a remote or keyboard you can't interact as quickly as with a touch screen.
