Here is a list of what you can do easily which doesn't require much knowledge, and is very effective and should be considered for every Linux Server:

  • Firewall --> Tutorial

  • Tarpit login loop --> Tutorial

  • fail2ban --> Tutorial (soon)

  • Setup ssh-keys and disable password login --> Tutorial (soon)

Hover over the Boxes then you can copy paste it in the console, everything will be done automatically!

Note that if you do it without SUDO you might not have permissions to execute a specific Command

Make sure to be in the User: "root" by typing su root / su - / sudo su
