KiCAD is a free PCB and design schematic software. The benefits of KiCAD is the open source community around KiCAD and the software is free.
LTspice is a free simulation software and is useful for prototyping circuits and simulating the properties of different types of circuits.
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform on easy-to-use hardware and software, Arduino microcontrollers are proficient in turning inputs into outputs. Arduinos are a fantastic jumping-off point into using microcontrollers and are versatile for a multitude of projects.
Arduino’s can be bought in many locations, but I recommend you can get emulated Arduinos for cheaper then official Arduinos.
The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that is capable of plugging into a computer monitor, TV, or even Arduino’s and other Microcontrollers. The Raspberry Pi is capable of browsing the internet, playing video, making spreadsheets, and playing games.
