Writing flow: deleting multiple blocks inconsistently requires double deletion

Using 6.3 RC1 and GB 16.2.1, I noticed that there are some oddities where a deletion doesn't "stick" the first time, requiring a second deletion keystroke. Here's a video using keycastr so you can see my keyboard interactions:

To replicate, just put a few different blocks on a post and try selecting multiple and deleting. Note that using the three dot menu > delete properly deletes them without an issue.

I couldn't reproduce this.. Are you pressing escape or delete? I tried both though.

Also I noticed here a different issue that can also be seen in your video and opened a PR about that.

I am pressing delete! I can still replicate with a quote block and list block for example using Gutenberg nightly and 6.3.1:
