This purpose of this PR is to build on and improve the first pass of SDL support—which just added the bare compilation mechanics—adding necessary features (like schema directives), support for testing, and working through a general audit of SDL features.
I'd also like to look at renaming the "decorations" mechanism, as upon further reflection it's too likely to cause confusion, especially for people with backgrounds in languages with "decorators." Suggestions welcome! (I need a plural noun.)
Once this is ready and merged, I think v1.5 is ready for a beta release.
