Metrics and Keylines in Online Demos and Docs

Based on feedback from the UX team, here are general issue to address as a cleanup for Angular Material demos and online docs:

Metrics and KeyLines

There are lots of places on the demo site where the metrics and keylines are off. The whole project would look much more polished if these were cleaned up. Some specifics:

• main left-hand navigation bar... "DEMOS" only has 8px left padding, should be 16
• when the windows smaller, hamburger icon and main toolbar title are all misaligned
• buttons in the right of the toolbar don't have any padding
• 'remove tab' button on tab demo doesn't have any padding
• default padding inside all cards seems too small (not entirely certain)
• etc... there are lots of these kinds of issues, which really take away from the polish of things

All issues fixed except card; added #265 to 0.4 for card.
