Yes, apologies — I should have included this in the pull request description.

In our company, we have our own proxy for the Anthropic API and an API key system for employees.

This diff was inspired by similar functionality in the Cline plugin for VS Code, where users can specify a custom base URL for the Anthropic API. It was a game changer for us.

As far as I know, it’s possible to specify theANTHROPIC_HOST in ~/.config/goose/config.yaml, and it should work without any additional changes. So, it’s probably enough to add documentation about this, but I believe that having this customization is a more user-friendly approach, especially given the minimal support cost.
