Triggers Window
The triggers window shows the triggers in the current level and allows you to add them to routes and investigate their properties.
The triggers window can be opened by:
- Pressing Ctrl-T
- Selecting Windows->Triggers on the viewer toolbar.
There is no imposed limit on the number of windows you can have open.
The triggers list displays the triggers in the current level, optionally filtered by the currently selected room and the command type. Triggers can be selected in the triggers lit and the details for that trigger will be displayed on the right panel of the triggers window. If the 'Sync Trigger' option is enabled, selecting the trigger will also select the trigger in the viewer.
The triggers list can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on one of the columns of the header row. The list will then be sorted by that column.
The triggers list can be filtered to only show triggers that have specific commands. Select the command type to filter by in the dropdown above the triggers list. This is set to All by default.
The attributes for the trigger are displayed in a list on the right panel.
The currently selected trigger can be added as a waypoint to the current route by clicking the 'Add to Route' button on the trigger details panel. This will create and select a waypoint after the currently selected waypoint.
The commands list shows all the effects that will occur when the trigger is activated. If a command refers to a specific object then clicking the command will select that object in the viewer.
The commands list can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on one of the columns of the header row. The list will then be sorted by that column.
All options are specific to each window. You can have multiple windows open with different options. A common use case is to have one window tracking the current selection in the viewer and another showing the list of all triggers.
- Track Room - If enabled this window will filter the triggers list to only show those triggers that are in the currently selected room in the viewer.
- Sync Trigger - If enabled this window will:
- Automatically select and display details for the trigger that is selected in the viewer.
- Automatically change the selected trigger in the viewer if a trigger is selected in the triggers window.
The right panel can be collapsed or expanded by clicking the '<<' or '>>' button in the top right of the left panel.
