Uploading output files

Kindle

There are currently five methods to upload a ready file to Kindle. The book will work regardless of the chosen method.

Manual USB upload

Just drop MOBI to Documents folder on your Kindle. On newer Kindle models covers will not be displayed in library view unless cover cache was correctly updated.

Normal upload through Calibre works correctly. Don't convert KCC output - Calibre will corrupt the file! On newer Kindle models covers will be displayed only if they are added to Calibre book record before upload.

Both USB and SSH upload is working correctly. In both cases, covers will be displayed in library view on newer Kindle models.

Send to Kindle

As long MOBI is smaller than 50MB this method should work correctly. Book will be marked as Personal and cover will be missing in library view. Personal Document Archiving option needs to be disabled.

Kobo

Manual USB upload

Upload it like a normal book.

Before adding output file to Calibre library change file extension from .kepub.epub to .kepub. After that change upload should work correctly (more details).

Other

Just use normal methods available for your device.
