As of version 1.2.3 the player can be controlled using shortcuts. At the moment the following shortcuts have been integrated:

CTRL+RIGHT Play next track
CTRL+LEFT Play previous track
CTRL+UP Raise the volume
CTRL+DOWN Lower the volume
s Toggle shuffle mode
r Toggle repeat mode
space Play/Pause
? Open/Hide the cheatsheet
