Gateway Linking Reflectors
ircDDBGateway Supports multiple gateway linking and reflector linking to properly allow links inbound make sure your firewall ports are correctly configured to forward to the ircDDBGateway software.
Additionally see the call routing lookup page and the [StarNET] (https://github.com/dl5di/OpenDV/wiki/StarNET-Digital-Server)page
ircDDBGateway supports the following to make sure you have them all working just make sure your host-files are up to date. This can be done multiple ways and will not be covered here specifically. If you can not connect to a particular reflector its recommended that you contact the owner of the reflector or visit the reflector's website to find details for the host file that need updated or changed. Additionally if you run ircDDBGateway software on a "pre-built" image, its likely they maintain a update tool for this function.
ircDDBGateway can read custom *_Hosts.txt files placed in either the /root directory or /home/opendv user directory and use them instead of the defaults
This is the original reflector system as implemented with DSTAR from ICOM software/G2 this reflector system is native to the original DSTAR systems, it is also important to note that D-Plus reflectors are not native to open source software. This is because use of DPLUS systems require a registered call in the USTrust network. It is important that if you want to inter-op with these systems and call routing that you do two things
- register your repeater on the USTrust system http://www.dstargateway.org/D-Star_Registration.html
- configure this callsign on the ircDDBGateway configuration and enable DPLUS here
REFxxx -
uses the DPlus_Hosts.txt to update or edit
sudo nano /usr/local/etc/DPlus_Hosts.txt
This is a opensource reflector system works just like the original DPLUS system but not using ICOM software, any gateways on the original ICOM software will need to run http://www.va3uv.com/dextra.htm
ircDDBGateway will support XRF systems native you only need to be registered with a call routing system.
XRFxxx - details and http://xrefl.net/
uses the DExtra_Hosts.txt to update or edit
sudo nano /usr/local/etc/DPlus_Hosts.txt
DCS systems are reflectors that lean on modes other then just DSTAR, for example HAM-DMR, System Fusion, P25 systems and the CCS7 call routing are more predominate here. DTMF codes are used for group and linking in addition to DSTAR style commands, this enables non DSTAR radios to use the gateway concept. You will need a CCS7 ID to use these repeaters effectively.
The new CCS7-IDs will be required in future to get access to the DCS reflector network
DCSxxx - details at http://xreflector.net/neu3/
uses the DCS_Hosts.txt to update or edit
sudo nano /usr/local/etc/DCS_Hosts.txt
XLX systems are the newest of the bunch, they provide a "all mode" (DSTAR SYSTEM-FUSION DMR) connectivity. they are compatible with linking technologies of all systems.

Currently ircDDBGateway support is not documented or known.
The ‘klxupdate’ script is provided by gw6wtk and appears on all Western D-Star images since January 2013, this update script also may appear on images built by other providers. You can also install this feature on your own personal build if you wish. Despite it’s title it is not the responsibility of Jonathan Naylor (G4KLX) in any shape or form, any issues with this script are the responsibility Brian gw6wtk.
If your gateway runs on a VK4TUX image, you can run the script openhost.sh to load the latest update of the DExtra_Hosts.txt file also see http://vk4tux.duckdns.org/OD/
