Feature request: Add room icon overlay to indicate federated/federation disabled/bridged

Description

It is possible to invite rooms not located on locally hosted home server. In this case any local user posting in that room is posting to a server outside of local administrative control.
Suggestion: Add an icon overlay to non-local rooms indicating that they are remotely located.
Perhaps include a popup warning on initial room invite to highlight the possible leak of information.

Rooms aren't local or remote. When you join a room it is as much your servers as it is the servers' of every user in the room.

E.g #riot:matrix.org has nearly 600 servers, if matrix.org died those 599 servers' users would continue talking as if nothing happened.

As @t3chguy says the concept of 'non-local' is inaccurate, but I'd like to see visual indicators of when a room is federated, or has federation disabled, or is bridged (I understand it might only be possible to represent reliably where a room is bridged from your homeserver).

Thanks @lampholder, I clearly don't yet understand exactly where the data actually lives and how it moves in all cases, but what you describe is what I am thinking.
@t3chguy happy to be informed about any misconceptions. Once I understand properly how things work I'll update the request description. It sounds like it should be merged with element-hq/element-web#176 as a more general case.

The Bridge info stuff could be related to @Half-Shot 's current (aiui) look into preventing double Bridging by shoving Bridge meta data into room state
