Contributing patterns

We're working in the open so make sure the title, description, or screenshots in your issue don't include any sensitive data.

If you have a pattern you'd like to contribute please open an issue on our GitHub.com repo

Although we will not be documenting patterns contributed by service teams during Alpha, we do want to make it easy for teams to list and discuss their patterns in a way that will keep all of the thoughts and research in one place. For that reason, we've started a backlog of patterns on GitHub.com.

Once we get to the stage of documenting patterns we'll start to look at adding the patterns on this list.

If you have a pattern that you are working on please share it with the community. For now, open an issue with:

• The name of the pattern as the issue's title
• All research findings you have to support the need for this pattern in the description
• Add any screenshots/gifs of the pattern being used in the description too

As we see the types of things teams are contributing. We’ll start to formalise what documentation we want for all patterns. So we work towards a consistent approach for documenting patterns.
