Hi, you saw there is a pull request to bring trello import into the deck app directly?
nextcloud/deck#3182

I did not. Thanks for that. We started to build this before that, but didn't check after completing and polishing.

so should I generate the app certificate or does the import from trello feature is merged into a single implementation ?

If they're feature equivalent I guess the app is superfluous.

I think you should generate the app certificate, this app allows any nextcloud user to import a Trello board from a json file to Deck from the interface, while nextcloud/deck#3182 is a command to help sys admins to import from Trello to Deck
