Print you AntCraft Formicarium
All parts of the AntCraft formicarium can be printed using standard PLA filament. Here are the recommended settings and tips for a smooth printing experience:
- Filament: PLA
- Nozzle Size: Up to 0.4 mm
- Infill: 20%
- Supports: Most parts don’t require supports with proper orientation. Enable support in your slicer software, and it will automatically apply supports where necessary.
WARNING: Be sure to clean all printed parts thoroughly using only clear water before use to remove any residual printing material.
For aesthetic purposes, it is recommended to print the ant_box
parts in a different color than the other components. Choose a color that enhances visibility for ant observation. Avoid white, which can blend with eggs, and dark colors, which may be too close to the ants' coloration.
Most door parts can be printed with the top face down (upside down). However, tube doors are an exception and are more challenging to print. Take extra care when printing these parts to ensure they come out accurately.
By following these guidelines, you’ll ensure that your AntCraft formicarium parts are printed efficiently and look great!
